Do you need to take medication after hair transplant
Yes, you need to take medication after hair transplant
The most important thing is first to let’s know about what is minoxidil and finasteride and how does it work?
Usually, minoxidil is a solution or foam i.e. it is topical medication for hair regrowth which is usually prescribed for patients who are suffering from excess hair loss. And finasteride, it can be given both orally or topically and it plays an important role for hair regrowth in men.
Derma roller is a treatment for hair loss patients to regrow hair. It is made of needles of 0.5mm and 1.5mm. It improves the blood supply onto the scalp and stimulates hair growth. The above things are definitely necessary after a hair transplant. But as the question is that how many days after hair transplant you can use derma roller, minoxidil and finasteride.
Usually, minoxidil can be applied within 15 days after hair transplant as it can help the transplanted hair to grow in the better way? Same as minoxidil, you can even start finasteride after 15 days because it will also help in the growth of your transplanted hair.
Now, about derma roller, if you use derma roller before 2-3 months then there is a risk. So, you can use it after 2-3 months but with the guidance of your dermatologist only.
Here is the explanation on Medications prescribed after hair transplant surgery:
As we saw, minoxidil and finasteride work best after a hair transplant. You can surely go for it, after 15 days.
With minoxidil and finasteride, there are even more treatments and medications that you have to take after hair transplant like multivitamins tablets and treatments like PRP, mesotherapy, derma roller, etc. These treatments can even help you more strength in the growth of your transplanted hair.
You must consult a dermatologist and your hair transplant surgeon before even taking any of the hair growth medications, any of the topical serums or oral medications.
