Why hair loss after Menopause?

Hair loss after menopause is mainly due to hormonal imbalance. During menopause levels of Oestrogen decreases. This hormone is important for promoting hair growth. When Oestrogen levels drop down, testosterone levels increase disproportionately this causes the hair that goes grow to be thinner than before.
