I will try to explain to in details, which will be helpful for you. We at HairMD perform around 45 to 50 surgeries in a month and almost every patient ask me our question, whether FUE hair transplant is painful or not?
During these steps listed above with some instrument, we puncture the skin of your scalp after proper planning and designing. During the process of extraction, we remove grafts from your donor area i.e back of the scalp and from beard also with the help of small rotor machine. This is a very crucial procedure it needs planning and marking, exactly from where grafts should be taken out. Hair transplant surgeon makes slits on the scalp with the proper angle with the shape of designed hairline. (this is the most important factor in getting successful and natural looking hair transplant). During this hair implanting process, we put those grafts harvested during extraction in the slits and we made in pushing step.
When we will perform all those steps then you won’t even feel because we use the perfect local anesthetic procedure.
Let’s check the procedure for anesthesia for FUE hair transplant:
So, whatever little bit discomfort you will experience that will be only during anesthesia procedure. After anesthesia, our patients take long relaxing nap listening to the soothing music of patients own choice and we perform the surgery. Sometimes patient even snore. (no this is not general anesthesia, you are well oriented to time and place, but it’s just my soothing operative hand and good retro music and sometimes best food provided in our setup.)
Here is a video of my patient who actually shares his feeling about HairMD and its environment on the surgery day.
Finally, this is how we enjoy the patient’s surgery day at our clinic. Why don’t you come for a consultation, so that I can solve your more doubts?
